During the cortege that consisted of more than 40 country leaders who attended the historical march in Paris where more than two million people gathered to send a message of unity and to denounce the massacre of Charlie Hebdo, the senior representative of Washington faced harsh reactions. The attitude of the Democratic administration run by Obama was interpreted in some news as “a diplomatic failure and a shame”. 

Well-done, this is quite a hard and long sentence. Even as a native speaker it was a bit tricky for me to translate it. You just confused the subject of the sentence, used a couple of wrong words and missed a tiny detail. But I´d recommend you to work on simpler material; newspaper translation requires a high level of both source and target language.

Yes indeed it´s pretty hard but I think it can train a lot more than very simplified material .
