Difference between oturuyor and yasiyor?

So I´m using Rosetta Stone to learn Turkish and it seems that they use oturuyor and yaşiyor interchangibly for "living". I know that oturuyor is technically sitting but they use oturuyorsunuz as a way of saying where do you live.

Is one referring to more what area/city you live in and then the other is more specific?

Thanks!

I think there is no difference, maybe small.

Oturmak: to sit; to reside, to stay

Nerede oturuyorsun?/ Where do you stay?

İki sokak ötede

Nerede yaşıyorsun? Where do you live?

l live in İzmir.

We usually using "oturmak" while giving/asking more detailed  info about our address.

- Yıldız mahallesinde oturuyorum

- Üç blok ileride oturuyorum.

But as Kedi told there is no big difference between -yaşamak and -oturmak. Casually where are using one of them instead of other.
