Can someone please translate this sentence from Turkish to English? Thank you!

Ayrıca sen çok farklı oldun ve iyi ki varsın.

...Also you have been different and I am so glad to have you (now).

Explanation: I´ve used present perpect because the sentence includes şimdiki zaman; therefore, the geçmiş zaman in this specific sentence corresponds to present perfect.

Besides, the reason I´ve put "now" at the and, is that the reader understands that there has been something the narrator has undergone resently(from the geçmiş zaman of the türkish sentence), and the narrator has experienced the life differently with the addressed person, which is expressed "now".
