Merhabalar! I have discovered something very interesting, I think. On Mabel Matiz´s new album there is a song I like very much called "Fena Halde Bela." Every time I heard the opening phrase (sorry, I am not a musician, so my terminology is probably wrong) I felt like I had heard it before in a Barış Manço song, but I could not figure out which one. Well, now I have! Listen to the opening of "Fena Halde Bela" and then listen to the opening of "Ahmet Beyin Ceketi." İşte böyle!

Turkish music experts, can you tell me if there is a reason for this similarity?Perhaps this phrase comes from a traditional song or musical form that both artists have pulled from? Or is Matiz paying homage to the great Barış Manço? I have to admit that I haven´t studied the lyrics of these two songs, but they don´t sound similar to me. "Ahmet Beyin Ceketi" means "Ahmet Bey´s Jacket," yes?And "Fena Halde Bela" is something like "Terrible Trouble"?
Here are alternate links, in case you don´t have YouTube:
