New Turkish Residence Permit Online System Launches

18th May 2015

The new system for Turkish Residence Permit applications launched on Monday 18th May.

The Directorate General of Migration Management have now taken over all the procedures regarding foreigners from the Provincial police departments. 
Residence permit applications for short-term, family residence, students and long term will be made online to
e-ikamet.goc.gov.tr

Residence Permit administration as part of this change is now centralized into 81 offices across Turkey.  For example there will be one location for Istanbul or if you live in Alanya your application will be submitted in Antalya, or if you live in Bodrum, Fethiye etc your application will be made in Mugla (Full list of provinical offices can be found here)

Documentation requirements will now be standardised and consistent across Turkey. (Requirements can be found here)

First Time Applications:-
These will now be made online, and the applicant must travel in person to the provincial office to submit their application (You can appoint a legal representive if you choose) 
e-ikamet.goc.gov.tr

Renewal permits Applications:-
These will now be made online, and the applicant does not have to travel to the provincial office, instead they must send the documentation by cargo to the provincial office.
