A friend wrote this to me: "Basin sagolsun." I´m guessing that the letters are not all correct, but I am still having trouble finding help in the dictionary. I´m guessing this is a condolence expression. Can you help me? ... Teşekkürler.

"Başınız sağolsun" is used when someone extends his condolences. It is the most common way.

Now that I know the right letters, I have found it in the dicitonary. I see that it literally means "May your life be spared."

Thank you for your help!
