Hi guys,

I know we can use "bir türlü" for negative sentences such as :

"Seni bir türlü unutamam" = "I can´t forget you in no way / at all".

But can we use it for positive meaning to say "somehow", "one way or another" :

"Bir türlü başaracaksın !" = "You will succeed somehow" or "You will suceed one way or another" ?

Thank you in advance,

Hi Matt,

We use "bir türlü" in negative sentences. But I can suggest some other expressions for positive sentences.

You can use "bir şekilde" instead of "bir türlü" in your example:

Bir şekilde başaracaksın. (somehow)

Or you can use "öyle veya böyle"

Öyle veya böyle başaracaksın. (one way or another)
