is this sentence correct? if not can you correct it?

The last part seem strange. İmha etmek - to destroy

What was the sentence in English? 

but would be nice to see the original sentence in English..

i guess the moon had been decided that it destroyed more beautiful ones

so, i think that it should be : "bu gece Dünya çok durgun, tanrı aşkına gülüm, dışarıya çıkma. Çünkü Ay, kendisinden daha güzel olanı öldürmeye karar vermiş."
