Difference between Kötü and kötüdur?

I am confused by the specific function of the -tur and -dur suffixes.  

For example kötü becomes kötüdur?

Hi,

-dür (kötüdür) here is used as indicative suffix

1. -Dir suffix turns a noun into a predicate as an indicative suffix.

2. It marks the third person. 

kötü= bad

kötüdür= he/she/it is bad
