I was hoping to see a lesson on using these but no such luck.

Living in Istanbul has helped me a lot with the turkish language but

there are just some words I can not grasp yet. I understand not all turkish words

can literaly translate to english but getting some understanding such is most helpful.

Ya and Ki are used and I am looking for an explanation/examples please. Thank you.

you can use the small google custom search box for a word and it will link to older questions/lessons relating to how the word is used

http://www.turkishclass.com/forumTitle_22623_3    is an example of how ki is used

good luck on your searches

Ya is not official (unless it´s a suffix meaning ´to´ but kind of street language, like ´he/ha´ in Spanish/French/Italian, you just add it at the end of the sentence.

For ´ki´ you can also look here: http://www.turkishlanguage.co.uk/ki.htm, especially look at the section ´Ki as an idiom´. It generally has the meaning of ´which´, ´that´.

Benimki: (that which is) mine

İçerdeki: the one that is inside
