Merhaba

I am trying to translate the poem of Hasan hüseyin korkmazgil "Güzel günler" that was sang by Ahmet Kaya.

I cannot get the sense of the following phrases:

Hoşçakal köprüsünün Dikilmiş dikmeninde
Ellerinde gelenimin
Gözlerinde gidenimin

I am beginner in turkish language, I know Gelen = that comes (gel +en)

so-- gelen ellerinde = in the hands that come

now if we add the possessive to gelen = gelenimin elleri what will be the meaning be exactly??

Türkçe bir dil kolay degil

teşekkür ederim

If you are a beginner in Turkish, you are really making it very difficult for your brain if you start with poetry. Poetry allows itself linguistical constructions that can be very complex, and also they are not used much in daily life.

As a beginner it may be more constructive for your neurosystem to start for example with bilingual books. You´ll see you get ahead much faster, is my experience anyway. I really leave the poetry alone, I´m already having trouble enough with the newpapers =)

Sorry I can´t help you here, but one of the native speakers here surely will be able to do so.
