Hi all.  There is a line in a book I am reading which keeps being repeated, and I don´t know what it means, but it seems very significant - like something to do with a close relationship.

The line is "Ask Olsun. Askin Cemal Olsun" (there is an accent under the "s"), and also "Kush Geldi".

Can anyone give me an idea what this means?

Thanks!

Hello,

That is a way of salutations among dervishes.

A: Aşk olsun (May it be love)

B: Aşkın cemal olsun (May your love be beautiful)

A: Cemaliniz nur olsun (May your face enlighten)

B: Nurun ala nur olsun (May it be light over light - greater light, the lightest light)

It may seem confusing in English, but that´s how they do

Is other one "kuş geldi (a bird came)?" Or is it something else?
