İ went for solution 3 till i manage 1,
And sometimes i just have to open many applications,like now,word to write tralslation in it,winmekmak,winamp,messengers,beside about 5 or 6 explorers
so there is no way out,i have to open those :-S

u can open just 3 applicationes,no more....messenger,winamp...

i open 8 aplications...and no slowing...my ram 512mb but working in 650 mb..its not about that....

probably is ur low memory....
virtual memory size is not too important,the important thing is memory,windows automaticly adjust virtual memory.
512 mb ram is enough almost for everything.....
but if you open too many programs,you will have that error
!!!!!!!!!
virtual memory works after ram,every single program eats some memory....
for example my msn messenger eats 40MB of memory,internet explorer eats 50MB of memory...
after all memory used,windows starts to use virtual memory,after all virtual memory used too windows will give that error....
that's why i say leave virtual memory as high as possible,1024-2048 just great...todays programs use too much memory....

thx very much for your help,my RAM actually is 256 DDR
İf it is causing this problem i guess buying another RAM will fix it ? to work along with it,i guess so
