Amazing. Nice article from some unknown news source. Even if this was quoted in the NY Times, youre just taking the Greek minister´s words over the words fof the entirety of Greece and several other countries and millions of people

Please dont search with confirmation bias. Youre only looking for things that argue your side. Ive taken the side of my own government and did some extreme researching to try and change my point of view. It didnt work out too well. Maybe I shoulve done what you do and blindly look for arguements defending the cowardice of the turkish government.

Quote:

"Genocide" is a law term clearly defined by UN in 1948.
Turks were not found guilty of any "Genocide" in any court as per defined by UN. That requires some international trial at a court. So far no such thing.

Oh, so the term "genocide", clearly defined by the UN in 1948, doesnt apply to what happened in 1915 because there hasnt been an international trial, ok gotcha. It´s funny because the term "genocide" was coined by Raphael Lemkin to describe the, previously used, "crimes against humanity" of the ottoman empire against the armenian people.

There has not been any international trial so far. Key words: so far

I hope you can change your stance and accept our country´s crimes and denial by breaking free from being blindly manipulted by turkey. It might be hard, and it was very hard for me, but I see it now.

I dont really understand what youre trying to get at here.

Every single country has done terrible things, turkey is not the only one.

Our country is not responsible for all of these genocides, but the ones it is responsible for, it does not recognize. At least in the US, students are actually taught about the atrocities the settlers did upon the native americans.

There are still many unrecognized genocides, and as a citizen of turkey, I do my part to recognize those of my own country. Now you do yours.

This is my last reply. Im not going to check back here anymore and I shouldn´t have posted it in the first place. Sorry.

This was the wrong site to reveal the truth to some turks, so that is my fault. What is not my fault is that you all blindly follow what you were taught.

I feel sorry. It is not your fault for growing up learning lies. We all are educated with lies from our government. The US government teaches lies about very many things but people eventually learn the truth. You are all at fault for not learning the truth, even in our digital age where anyone can use the internet.

Hopefully Ive done something to lead you all to the right path, even if it is very little and to a small group of people. It is ultimately your choice, so make the right one. God Bless.

Just saying "I´m a Turk" here doesn´t make you one. Maybe you can provide some more evidence to believe you. Come here and help those who learn Turkish language here. Just don´t come here to propagate Armenian views) own government and did some extreme researching to try and change my point of view. It didnt work out too well. Yes so far and it´s not likely there will ever be. I hope such a trial takes place one day but no hope. Why? Because there is no evidence to label those events as "Genocide". Otherwise it would have taken place so far (long ago).

I hope you can change your stance and accept our country´s crimes and denial by breaking free from being blindly manipulted by turkey. It might be hard, and it was very hard for me, but I see it now.

Again I´m saying it´s a law term and a trial is required. I hope it will take place and maybe I can change my stance if my country is found guilty of it.

Other that that using the term "Genocide" only reflects your personal prejudicies.

Yeah right but hey you have accomplished your job to publish some Armenian views here by starting a thread. Well done!

I feel sorry. It is not your fault for growing up learning lies. We all are educated with lies from our government. This is a lie. I have never been educated from our government on this subject. My views have been built by myself reading the material I have found over the years. The material that I have chosen to read myself. The US government teaches lies about very many things but people eventually learn the truth. You are all at fault for not learning the truth, even in our digital age where anyone can use the internet. Yes right. That´s just what I´m doing.

Hopefully Ive done something to lead you all to the right path, even if it is very little and to a small group of people. It is ultimately your choice, so make the right one. God Bless. Amen!

 jabroni101 after reading your comments I repeat:     "  I said this is a Turkish language learning site, not a political forum. If you are so passionate with sharing your views and historical knowledge please go to a different site and forum to spat your views. You mentioned about the USA and you are very wrong with your information. They too have blinded and lied the average USA citizen in regards to history/politics and have inhibited their own from the ability to learn. An example would be the average middle age midstate american named Bubba. Watch Jerry Springer show or Honey Boo Boo or even one of the Reality Housewife shows.......  Instead of slandering a particular country with remarks about history why don´t you learn to improve current conditions where you live. Help educate/feed and direct the city/town you reside. Be proactive instead of bitching.  Again have a nice day {#emotions_dlg.flowers}

And your point...... Wow I guess you feel better getting that off your back. This is pretty juvenile behavior on your part, to think this will do any good on a Turkish learning site. Most of the people here are trying to either learn Turkish or help people learn the language. If they wanted to learn about Turkish history it is available on other sites. I just want to further add that no civilization/country/religion is or has been formed without deaths. Instead of whining about one particular group you would be better to take a stand about present day  situations, wars, genocides, poverties etc. What has happened in the past whether acknowledged or not can not be changed. Let it go and spend your time and energy either helping what is going on in the world today. We don´t need rants about the past we who can read are priviledged with finding this knowledge out ourselves with out prejudices..... Now go and enjoy your life, freedom of speech and do some good in the world. {#emotions_dlg.flowers}

Your country USA is real genocide state. Iraq, afghanistan, japan, american indias erc.etc.

And USA, the only country in the world that uses inhumane atomic bomb.

Genocide is USA , USA is Genocide..

We are proud of Turkish history. Because we know the dark history of the USA and other countries.

Honestly I don´t think any country should be proud of the deaths it has caused by war including Turkey and my own.. I was hoping that we could just get back to learning the language. We really don´t need to be slinging mud ( nasty comments ) back and forth this is not a school yard. If you are interested in debating history I suggest you go to another forum that has many both expert and brainwashed views about who is right and who is wrong.  LETS GET BACK TO LEARNING AND DEVELOPING FRIENDSHIPS !
