Even a newbie in Turkish language could have written that message with a much better spelling and grammar.

Are you sure the guy is Turkish?

"puroplem"! Hah!

While I was going out with you, it wasn't for your money, you know that. You know my love that if my dad wasn't a problem, I wouldnt want ( I'm not sure about the last part)

I wasn't going out with you because of your money, you know that, if I didn't have a dad problem I wouldn't ask, you know my love.

Daydreamers translation looks most likely to me.

Since the text is written very poor at first I tought "baba problem" must be "başka problem". But then although "başka problem" looks good, this time the text is even more meaningless.

Normally baba and problem can never come next to each other like this. "Problem olan babam" or "babam problem çıkarıyor" or "babam problem" should be used.

but we should consider one thing, namely, when we write sms we make it as short as possible. therefore we meet such strange and funny texts.
cheers

in bttgab's previous post the message made it clear that the writer had a problem with his father cutting his allowance and he called it "baba puroplem" there too, so I still think it's problem with father and not "başka problem" although it's a strange use of words...
