Hi All

I really got so confused with this sentence

"Odama gider uyurum"

the verb gider is "geniş zaman" but there´s no suffix of (BEN) for it as the case with "uyurum".

how this is possible ?, it should be like this:

"Odama giderim ve uyurum" OR "Odama gidip uyurum"

Thanks

"Odama giderim ve uyurum" OR "Odama gidip uyurum"

Those are correct but we usually drop "ve" (and) so

"Odama giderim, uyurum" is still correct. And more than that we can drop the personal suffix except for th last one:

"Odama gider, uyurum"

There could be more than two verbs:

"Odama gider, yatar, uyurum"

...

etc

You can think of that string as a unit that conforms to a distributive law:

(gider, yatar, uyur)-um (in Turkish)

(2+3+4)*5 = 2*5 + 3*5 + 4*5 (in math)

Can you see a similarity?
