"bakan" (looking) doesn´t work as a verb. It is present participle (= adjective) and modifies the following word.

bana bakan adam (non-finite clause)

=> the man looking at me (the man who is/was looking at me)

bana bakan adam elli yaşlarında - the man looking at me is in his fifties

bana bakan adam elli yaşlarınday - the man looking at me was in his fifties

denize bakan ev - the house facing the sea

yalnız oturan adam - the man sitting alone

etc.

hope it´s clear..

Were you looking for "bana baktı adam," "the man who had looked at me?"

Thank you very much

I got the idea, in this case the translation of the following sentence will be like this,

"yesterday, the man who was looking to me"

"Dün bana bakan adam"

thanks for answering

but I don´t think this is possible,

"adam bana baktı" simply is "the man looked at me"

Yes, that´s correct.

Here are some more examples:

polis, arabada oturan adamı gözaltına aldı - police detained the man who was sitting in the car

(o) kendisine gülümseyen adama doğru hızla koştu - she quickly ran towards the man who was smiling at her

koşarak uzaklaşan adam silahlıydı - the man who was running away was armed.
