Hi friends i was searching some data on the internet but i couldn´t find anything about this. I know how to use vowel harmony rules with this suffixes but i don´t know when i should use it. And i don´t remember what meaning they have.

Can anyone explain me?

And how to make sentences with passive voice?

Example:

-this shoes are/were made in China(?

Şimdiden çok teşekkür ederim

The suffix -mektense means something similar to "instead of/rather than". If you know the suffix "-mek yerine" then it´ll be easier because it´s pretty much the same thing.

Evde oturmaktansa çık dışarı, bir şeyler yap. "Instead of sitting at home, go outside and do something."

Ders çalışmaktansa uyumayı tercih ederim. "I´d prefer to sleep rather than to study"

-dikçe indicates a continuity and is similar to "as long as" or "the more... the more..." depending on the context.

Müşteriler geldikçe ben mutlu olurum. "I´ll be happy as long as customers keep on coming."

Sen çalıştıkça hiçbir sorun olmaz. "There won´t be any problems as long as you study."

For the passive voice, you can check out the lessons on this site that tackle this subject.

I recently had a lesson on these so i´ll add a few more from what I had written down.

dışarı çıkmaktansa ödevini yapmalısın

instead of going out you should do your homework

evde kalmaktansa dışarı çikmalısın

instead of staying home you should go out

balığı almaktansa eti almaya karar verdim

instead of buying fish, I decided to buy meat

eve gelmektense parka gitmeye karar verdiler

instead of coming home they decided to go to the park

okula gitmektense evde kalıp uyumayı tercih ederim

instead of going to school, I´d rather stay at home and sleep

geldikçe, daha çok bu yerden nefret ediyorum

the more I come, the more I hate this place

yedikçe, daha da uykum geliyor

the more I eat, the sleepier I get

uyudukça, daha iyi hissedeceksin

the more you sleep, the better you will feel

içtikçe, sarhoş olurum

the more I drink, the more drunk I become
