In case anyone else comes across this and wants clarification further, well here it is: Balance meaning (in this context) is: "How much do I have in my bank account right now".

If you want to learn your balance, you can say: Hesap bakiyemi öğrenebilir miyim?

Bu I´ve never heard of updating your balance in a bank. The translation would be "Hesap bakiyemi günceller misiniz?" But as denizli said above, it would be a British term.

I understand it now. I think you can say "Güncel bakiyemi öğrenebilir miyim?"
