In Turkey kurdish issues has been being discussed more openly lately. Even there is a party which is linked to PKK! No one is put to jail because of these discussions. However, our wish in a forum that is aimed at foreigners is that it is not appropriate to open PKK to discussion so much. Then people who are not sensitive about this issue say their PKK justfying opinions which lead this site to look as a PKK sympathying site. Since we cannot control all the discussions, all the posts the decision not to discuss this issue has been taken. This forum is not a place for these discussions and do not continously accuse us of being enemies of democracy. This is just a site we are running, a cencorship about an issue on a site does not mean that you favor cencorship. Like it would not be wrong  to cencor discussing Adam and Eve from a religious perspective in a medical faculty where science is made even if this faculty is in a democratic state.

 Finally!!!!  This is the real truth of the matter.  Turkey is so concerned with it´s image yet again.....

 And foreigners are a bunch of simpletons who cannot decide for themselves what´s what!

 It is not to form their opinions. What I said is that foreigners who are not familiar with this subject may say "PKK justifying" things which will cause problem.

Are you saying that our foreign friends DO NOT  have brains to think for themselves? (you sounded like 1980 army generals who tried to dictate people what to think )

If you think a post is saying the wrong things or the idea you disapprove of, THEN POST YOUR OWN  IDEA AND SHOW THAT HOW WRONG IT IS..

If you are not doing that but deciding suddenly ´I am going to lock this thread´ is CENSORSHIP.

How come we are forced to be so sensitive when discussing the PKK, Ataturk, Article 301, Armenian Genocide and many other issues regarding Turkey.  But when it comes to the west, I have to endure support to Bid Laden, Bush bashing, Native American Genocide and criticism after criticism over the Iraqi War.  You mention one negative thing about radical islamists, or topics mention above,  we resort to changing the rules.  You can´t change the rules as you go, you must establish them in the first place.  Of course not everyone will be content, but at least you have set the foundation for what is expected.  If you keep changing what is acceptable and what isn´t it results to chaos and disorder.

I understand this is a Turkish Language site, but if it´s meant to be a visitors burea and everything should be positive and glorified to attract visitors to Turkey, you may want to remove the General/Off Topic and get sponsorship from the Turkish government.  I would imagine most people coming to this site to learn about Turkey are foreigners.  So shouldn´t this site be more open-minded to catering to us, rather than to Turks who should already know their history & language. It just appears everytime we make changes here, it´s due to appeasing others because their offended.  No matter how hard you try, someone will always take offense to something.  I think it´s a no win situation.
