Herkese merhaba,
Ördekler kuru yerde yaşamıyor Ducks do not live in a dry place.
I understood that we usually use simple present tense in an action that is habitual or timeless, so why do we use present conintuous tense here?
Is it incorrect to say? Ördekler kuru yerde yaşamazlar.
And if it is not incorrect, would it mean exactly the same as Ördekler kuru yerde yaşamıyor? If not, how?

Thank you very much!
In the context of your reply, would you elaborate, what is meant by Specific talk versus eneral talk?

Specific: like when you talk about the ducks you know/see or ducks in your surrounding.
General. Ducks in general.
