Hi my name is Sue,

I live in Ontario Canada. I know some people here in Canada that are from Turkey and this is the reason I desire to learn the language. I have since made many friends online that are also turkish that try and help me. I am 44 and born American, I moved to Canada 8 yrs ago. I now have plans to move and maybe live in London. I hope one day to visit Turkey to meet some of my online friends in person. I have found all the people on Turkish CLass to be friendly and helpful to me . I wish everyone well and happiness..

Sue

Hi Everyone,
My name is Lynda - I live in London. I am a probation officer (like a parole officer). I have 4 children of my own plus an adopted daughter. In November i hope to have another 'adopted child' coming from Turkey to live with us for 1 year while he goes to college here. None of these 'children' are children. The eldest son is 32 and the youngest (daughter) is 21, everyone else including the adopted Turkish 'son' is in between these ages.

I am married to a Plumber.

I hope to retire early to Turkey in 2 or 3 years and run a hotel.

I am learning Turkish as an important part of realising my dream of living (and dying) in Turkey. I also need to be able to speak to my adopted 'sons' mother who cannot speak any English at all.

I have 1 dog and 3 cats and live in a small house in Central/East London (pretty near to where some of the bombs went off by the way)

I have lots of really very good friends on this site and I love learning here. Not just Turkish, but about other people and their lives, cultures and beliefs, if you take the time and interest you can enrich your life in many ways by speaking to the people you find here. I feel very much like a 'class mate' here and I am always interested in my friends and their lives.

I have just returned from 3 weeks in Turkey and have lots of stuff to share with you all. i'll do some essays and forums posts when i finish unpacking, doing the laundry and getting over the journey. I'll put some pictures up on my personal bit also.

Hello to everyone - I'm happy to be back (well not too much actually, its grey, cold, raining and miserable in London right now and I won't even mention the state of terror that has gripped London since I've been away. My daughter works on the London Underground and I am afraid every day for her.

I'm sure lots of you have lived or do still live in places where bad things happen all the time and i'm sorry for this. I suppose we will get used to it in time. Meanwhile life has to go on.....

Take care everybody - I hope all is well in everyone's lives.

Hello, Lyndie
Welcome back!
I'm happy to hear that I'm not the only mother in this site!
I like your essay very much and I'm looking forward to read some more.
I would also be glad to join Bliss staying in your hotel in Turkey one day.
I completely understand your feelings - I live in place where bad things were happening, when I was afraid for lives of my children as you are now.
I wish if bad things would never happen to anyone.
Waiting impatiently for your essays, impressions and photos,
HoşÃ§akal,
Slavica

I am with you, and wish our kids can live in safer place. I would give everything to make our world better place to live. I wish people can finaly understand that we don't have to fight and we have to share only great love in this beautiful world where are so many great places. There is enough space for everyone.
