I have stayed many times in Ayvalık, my best friend and his family live there. (although he lives in London with me at the moment. It is near Balikesır and Izmir. (two closest biggest towns) I spent a few days in Sarımsaklı last summer. The beach is nice but its a bit 'run down' as resorts go.

Mr X67, next time you are there, go to the Deniziçi Cafe on the pier and have an Ayvalik Tosti for me lol
