İsn't hem...hem.. means either..or ?

according to the dictionary "hem... hem..." means "both... and..." (two things at the same time).

I'll talk depending on my own experiences.
It sounds to me that "ha....ha" is used in informal speaking, and we can say it means "either...or" but it won't be sufficient I think.


But when you say "either...or", the first thing I'd say would be "ya.....ya da"
And for "neither...nor", "ne....ne de"
"both...and", "hem...hem de"

Notice that usually "da/de" suffix is used together.

ha...ha most of the time is followed by "ne farkeder/ ne farkedecek" or even if it is not followed by them, it possesses this additional meaning beside "either...or"
