Usually when I go on holiday I make sure there is planty of room in my suitcase to bring back lots of alcohol......this trip to Turkia will be a bit different! I will be bringing back alcohol of course - but also want to bring back some Turkish language books.

The sort of things I want are children's story books, grammar books and anything else that might help me. Does anyone have any suggestions about books that I should bring back with me and where I might get them from???

When I was in Istanbul, we found a big sort of school-book center, where they had all these dictionaries and language books... you'll probably find them as well! And there were normal book stores as well.. but they didn't really sell turkish language books, but were more focused on other languages..

Last year I found a few big bookstores at Istiklal Caddesi in Istanbul.
You can try reading "Nasrettin Hoca Fıkraları" and "Nasrettin Hoca Hikayeleri", they are fun to read and not very difficult, you may also try "Keloğlan Hikayeleri". Have fun and enjoy your visit!
