Can anyone give me some advice....
I know very little Turkish... the odd word / sentence.... Not much really. My Turkish fiance and his family are so good at trying to teach me, but only certain words.
I am desperate to learn.
Can anyone give me some advice on where to start! Grammer? Vocabulary? Where?
Please.... any advice would be so gratefully received.
çok teşekkür ederim
JOANNE

Yes. Maybe you think it's interesting to read » the introduction «first.
I would first start with the » alphabet « obviously, then learn the pronouns 1& pronouns 2.
Then an important thing to study is the VOWELHARMONY. There are 5 lessons about it, but if I were you I'd really learn them. If you don't learn the vowelharmony properly, you'll make mistakes all the time, as it is a part of the basis of Turkish.
Then you can start with other parts of grammar. I suggest you just start from lesson 1 and then slowly finish them all. Maybe you prefer to at least learn how to construct a verb, then I'd start with the Turkish present continuous (number 11 on the list).. It's quite easy and you can easily learn how to use it yourself.
Good luck!
