I hire Nurses here in my country and we are starting them out at $65,000 USD annually. We are in desperate need of Nurses. Nursing has grown over the years in many different areas, it's not your typical Clinical Nurses any more. Our Nurses do Case Management, Nurse Consulting. Mon-Friday, no weekends required, paid holidays, great benefits. I just can't understand why people are not choosing Nursing as their career. If you want to be a Nurse and come to the U.S. you are guaranteed a job. I always said in my next life I would be a Nurse.

I have been a a quarified nurse for 33 years and i would not advice anyone to go in into nursing at present in England. My son and daughter-in-law are also nurses and work in a very busy accident department. They work long hours and although they are not badly paid. For the work they do the pay is not enough. I would not stop them going to work abroad if they wished, but we too need good nurses, but our goverment will not treat them fairly.
