Ok, I just got off from a month long holiday in Turkey on the Saturday night, and I just can't get over it... it's depressing as hell being back in England. I really do love the country way more than this puddle of depressing shit England. Arriving to Iskenderun at 8am the day of our flight from Adana back home really summed it up for me, seeing everyone out and about, all hustle and bustle, walking down the seafront etc, at the kebab stalls rofl. Then coming to a dreary English town and seeing it virtually empty you know... there's just no comparison. There's also a girl over there that I'm obsessed with that lives over the other side of the road... she flirts strangely from time to time but she is goddamn pretty.

Anyway, anyone got any tips to get over this holiday (Get rid of my holiday blues, if you like), and re-adjust to live in pissy England?

I came home from seeing my fiance in Turkey on 6th August and have not stopped crying since....

WHAT IS IT WITH THIS COUNTRY?????

I can't wait to go back there.... BUT AT LEAST I HAVE THIS TO LOOK FORWARD TOO..... this time next year... I will be living there

So my advice would be ... get on with your life for now ... because dwelling on it does you no good at all ... think of the great times you will have in the future... YOU HAVE YOUR WHOLE LIFE AHEAD OF YOU ! YOU LUCKY THING !

By the way I'm male just incase anyone was wondering. This forum seems predominately female.

Yeah I guess moping doesn't help, but I mean I might possibly be doing a gap year next year in Istanbul so that will be pretty cool.

Hi Hilliar,

Do you know what, if going back to Turkey is what you want to do... then you go for it...

This is the one and only life you will ever have, so if you desire to do something so severely... then go ahead ... DO IT!!!

If I did not go for it... I would not have my Turkish fiance.... and be marrying him next year

So who knows whats around your corner!!!

It's so funny! I really want to live in the UK as well, but everyone is telling me that it's hell to live there!

I've just been watching this TV programme about people moving to the countryside, and it looks so lovely there..

I have to agree that Turkey is much more beautiful, but I think the UK is so amazing as well!

Oh, and it's true what Izmir says, if you want to do something.. go for it.. before you know it it's too late....

I think moving to any country can be hell or paradise depending on your circumstances. If you arrive in a country with no money, no job and nowhere to live, then YES IT WILL BE HELL! Turkey or UK!
