Hi all,
I know there is a celebration day on the 30th August in Turkey is this to celebrate Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the founder of the Turkish Republic? I have read also it is also victory day?

yeah the 30th August is 'Zafer Bayramı' (victory day)
and there is also
Yıbaşı (new year) - 1st January
Ulusal Egemenlik ve çocuk Bayramı (National Sovereignty and Chrildens day) - 23 April
Gençlik ve spor bayramı (young peoples and sports day) - 19May
then there is
Cumhuriet Bayrami (republic day)
all shops offices and banks are shut on these days..

Yep,paige,unfortunately I wont be in Turkiye to celebrate Zafer Gunu though.But I can send some cake over there
