Ok,Can you help me here ????

İ understand every word in the sentence, but i can't make much sense out of it :-S

Quoting leanne1:

dun telefon almiştim gelmedi ondan dolayi could you please translate xx

Yesterday,i had taken'bought'a phone,thats the reason it'he,she' didn't come

Shouldn't it be telefonu ?
Can he use ondan and dolayı both after each other ?
Don't they almost give the same meaning ?

Help here please,it is so frustrating to understand the words ,but not the sentence

I was wondering about the same. Maybe that "gelmedigin sey" was an sms which didn't come because that person got his/her telephone just yesterday :-S

I think it's an uncomplete sentence as a reply to sth:
yesterday I've bought/got a phone, it didn't arrive, that's why

selam CANLI
no here, he wants to say something like,
telefon aldım = somebody phoned me or i was phoned
here 'ondan' is incomplete
shortly; (ondan) telefon almıştım - i had taken a phone or i was phoned (by him/her)
hope it is more clear now

Selam gizopy,

You use it in your daily talk, and make us learners confused,,lol

Ok,Tşk,we do same too, it is kind of slang language,or we can say, slang way in talking

But shouldn't it be telefonu aldım ?

telefonu aldım
So you are talking about the physical material: "Phone", and that phone is a spesific one:
"I got the phone"(you know which one is)

But in the previous sentence:
Telefon aldım
So it may have two meaning:

1) I bought "a phone"
You say a phone, it is not important which is, what is its speciality... Just a phone...

2) I had a phone call
As you wrote, it seem some strange, but it is used like this.

Dün patronumdan bir telefon aldım.
I had a phone call from my boss yesterday.

dun telefon almiştim gelmedi ondan dolayi

Here are 2 sentences
1.dun telefon almiştim
2.gelmedi ondan dolayi

those two sentences have common verbs not easy to understand, because we're not into the scene so we have no idea about those actions. 2. sentence is quite NOT CLEAR, because it is combines to first sentence as meaning, beacuse it's suject is missing.
ASKERs should make clear how and where the sentences come!

The translation may be like this( in the situation for a cell phone and not settings adjusted)
'I bought a (new) phone yesterday, it was not adjusted for SMS, so I have not received your SMS'
