At the end of this month i will be going back to Turkey to see my partner. He has his own place there but last night he told me his family would like to meet me especially his mother.i said yes as i thought for a couple of days but now i realise it will be for over a week. Im so nervous now i dont know what to expect. He said not to worry as he will be there.Easier said than done
What things do i need to know
IE do i take gifts for his mother or all his family? , How do i address them etc
Any help or advice would be very appreciated
Thanks in advance

This is a very interesting topic. I am keen to know too. lol

1. How should you greet the family members? Since it is the first time meeting

2. Should you bring gifts for each and everyone?

Ask your boyfriend who you should buy gifts and about their interests. I didn't know I was gonna meet Kadir's parents until we arrived in Turkey, so I wasn't able to bring soemthing Dutch. As an alternative, we went to Sirince where we bought their favourite wine They live in Ankara, so they cant often buy that wine.

I'd advice to bring something specific from your country. Is there a special sort of marmelade for the region you live on, or special cookies/cakes?

For example, I bring Dutch stroopwafels. They don't really have them in Turkey, but they taste GREAT and everybody loves them!

I will admit I used to love my mini skirts and boots but I love my hubby more so enough said!

Apart from a couple of floor length skirts - I don't have any that are more than about 10 inches long.......I could not live without mini skirts!!!
