Nerede = where

sin = the suffix for 'you' singular, informal
siniz = the suffix for 'you' pluarl or formal.

If you talk to one of your close friends, you say: 'neredesin?'

If you talk to an adult, you say: 'neredesiniz?'

If you talk about plural, for example to a group of friends who is travelling together and you'd like to know where they are, you say 'neredesiniz?'

In English, there is no difference between YOU to a youngster and YOU to an adult. In Turkish there is. You use -sin- to people who are close to you, who you really know, or who are much younger than you. You use - siniz - to adults tha tyou don't know, to the hotel-receptionist when you check in, to the cabdriver, to the restaurant-owner. To people you don't know , with respect.

I hope this was helpful.
