Hi everyone, I am trying to translate this poem by Nazim Hikmet into Vietnamese through the English translation at

http://www.turkishclass.com/poem_161

I was going through the Turkish text and find that Mavi Gözlü means blue-eyed in Turkish and so was it translated into blue-eyed in English. Now, blue-eyed in English means naive, innocent, or favorite. I am wondering if you guys can tell me what Mavi Gözlü (blue-eyed) means in Turkish. I suspect that it doesn't mean anything specific (just blue eye since Hikmet himself had blue eyes) or else it may mean someone idealistic...etc.

Thanks for your help. Please send your response to gaupvn@gmail.com.

God bless!

As M. Kemal Ataturk who is founder of Moder Turkey has blue eye, Nazim Hikmet wanted to mean him.
