Beraat kandili is one of holy days in Islam.
Normally, its name is Beraat Gecesi (acquittal night). There are some holy days: Miraç, Beraat, Regaib, Kadir, Mevlid. In these nights, muslims are advised to pray more, in Quran.
Normally, they are nights, and normally kandil means oil-lamp. That phrase get used to be used as night. It does not mean "oil-lamp" for here. It means "night" as a holy night.

Beraat means "acquittal".

In fact kandils are defined according to the Arabic Months. Now we are in Şaban (which is the eight month ).and beraat kandili is at 15th night of Şaban.so the date of the kandils changes every year in terms of solar year. bec. moon year is 354 days. and 15 days after that Ramazan comes that is the holy month . month of fast...

Yes i know,i am Muslim too Elhamdülleh
But,i am bad at kandiller..i don't know when they come,thanks to my friend,he always remind me
But i didn't know what beraat kandil means in İslam,which night,now i know thank you
İt is the half of Şaban then.. Tşk ederim
Btw, what do you say on that night Türkçede ?

Thanks for all your replies. I think I understand now. My friend told me beraat kandil is tonight? 7th Spetember...is this right? And is there a special prayer to say? or do u just pray more?. Tsk.
