I have a spooky fridge. I cleaned it yesterday (like the good domestic goddess that I am) and completely removed a glass shelf to clean it. I just took out the shelf and washed it ... easy.

So....why wont it go back in now!!!!!! Grrrrrrrr! I swear it has grown 1cm. There is absolutely NO WAY it will fit back in the fridge - I spent an hour on this last night. WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY? How can this be possible!!

Help please

Its obviously like one of those Chinese puzzles. You have to have the angle of the shelf at 37.675869 degrees and at a certain level (to within 1.374859mm) to be able to put it back

Is it possible that the glass was colder before you washed it? If it was, maybe it was smaller. When you washed it (in warm water I assume), it warmed and expanded...that is my theory and I am sticking to it.

ADVICE: put it in the fridge for a few hours and cool it down again....maybe it will fit again. A little TC experiment.

First they displayed the coming train wrong, so I took a wrong one and had to change rails (how doyou say that in English?) after half an hour, to end up in a train that was delayed so that by the time I arrived at Schiphol my next train had taken off. After waiting and getting on the next one, it turned out I had missed the bus aswell. Its just a 15-minute walk, but the bus is just in 2 minutes when its on time.

On the way back me and my friend accidentally ended up in a non-speaking department of the train, so after half an hour of not speaking I had to get off to catch another train, which was so full that there was no place left to sit for half an hour!
