If anyone is interested... this is how to obtain a NON - IMPEDIMENT ... You cannot marry a Turkish citizen in Turkey without this certificate :-

Call your local Registry office and make an appointment to see Registrar regarding Non impediement.

Take with you ... Passport, proof of residence within the district of the Registry office (bank statement or utility bill), proof of freedom to marry if you have been married before (decree absolute or death certifiate, if widowed.

The fee for this is £30.00

You will also have to provide the following information:-

Full names of the person you are marrying, their age, occupation and country and town of the place you wish to marry.

HOPE THIS IS OF ANY HELP TO ANYONE...... HAD TO FIND THIS OUT RATHER QUICK AS I AM GETTING MARRIED IN DECEMBER ...

THIS INFORMATION IS JUST FOR UK CITIZENS ONLY... NOT SURE THE PROCEDURE ANYWHERE ELSE ....

I think it is the same for all who want to get married witu turkish man/woman. Take this non-ipediment document, translate it in to english and then turkish. Then notary will verify it. Finally take legalize this document let it "apostille"
I hope u understand me. That's what i must to now before getting married
