Well, maybe he just rings your phone to let you know that he thinks about you? Because calling is really expensive so ringing is a good way to let smo know that you are doing okey and thinking of him/her. This is what i do with my lover when one of us hasn't got money in his phone. We just call and hang up. It just means something like.. askim i think of you, i hope you are doing fine, i love you !

Maybe you can go to a special phonecompany where you can call. Just like a cybercafe but then with phones. Its cheaper then calling at home and the connections are good

Good luck!

Paige, if you are in England go to Dialwise, you can call a turkish landline for 1p per minute or 8p per minute for a mobile call.
I confirm what Deli says - this is very common in Turkey, everyone does it, if they have no money for a phone call they just ring and hang up so you know they are thinking of you.

Hi Linda,
I use this card for calling Turkia. It is a good option for calling mobile numbers.

Card name: Talk Direct
Picture:

value: £5 sold for £4.50
When called via a 020 number:
for Turkia Landline: 500 minutes
for Turkia Cell phone: 500 minutes

But dailwise looks also a good option for landlines. I didnt know about this. Thanks for telling.

This is great for texts from your computer. 90 Credits cost £5.99 and you can pay by paypal or various other methods.
Turkcell texts cost 2 credits and the other network (whose name escapes me) cost 1 credit.

The downside is once you send the text you don't get a copy of it. You can't put in loads of fancy characters, i've never tried to text with turkish characters, you'll have to tell me someone if they work.

But I send hundreds of texts to turkey so its really cheap.
