I notice that in the latest version of WinMekMak, the -iyor present tense has changed its name from present continuous to present progressive. However, every other source seems to call it present continuous......

Is this just a mistake in WinMekMak or is there some other explanation?

Yeah, present progressive and present continuous are both correct, and they're both the same thing. One's the English term and one's the American term (I can't remember which is which).
