Şimdi and Artık

şimdi is also used a lot when someone is thinking, in the same way in English we might say Hmmm or we pause a moment.

I don't think artik could be used the same way.

Because I think in English, and haven't yet got to the point of thinking in Türkçe, I tend to put terms like "erm" or "arh" into my sentences......
Do they work in Türkçe in the same way as they do in English or does Türkçe have other terms???

When the words don't come easy we also put things like aaa or eee.

But we have also a wildcard word which is said when you cannot remember the exact word.
