i can't fully understand this lines (abstract from an article). could someone help me out?

ilk okuyuşta tarafların iki temel değerde tam uyum içinde oldukları açık. insan halkarından ve özgürlükten yanadılar. ikinci bir okuyuşta "özgürlüğün" ve dolayısıyla "hak" kavramının farklı algılandığı anlaşılıyor.

This was my try:

"at first sight it is clear that (both) sides were in full unison about two basic values. they defended the human rights and liberties. at a second sight it is understood that the concept of "liberty" is perceived in different ways"
