izmir the best city to live in turkey

i went to turkey and i think izmir is the best place to be i lived in manisa also but izmir its so much better

in turkey all city excillent coz all city got history thts why make special... not only izmir. and dont forget... ISTANBUL... 1 of french writer.. said 7 year bfre... if the world is a country.. istanbul ll be capital.. pple call europea capital is istanbul IM PROUD TO BE TURKISH MAKE ME SO HAPPY

I haven't been to Izmir yet, but I am more than convinced that Istanbul rules!

Yes, I agree it is a great place, but for me it is too busy and too big. It really depends on what you are after.

I prefer the more relaxed and sedate places, so for me Köyceğiz is the ideal place; it's also why I chose to live here.

The thing with Turkey is different regions are totally different, including the climate.

Hello Norman B, My father in law also lives in Köycegiz.

I like it there it is so peaceful and beautiful.

How are you coming along with your turkish? i must be hard as i know very few english people living there.

I know more than I did a year ago, because I couldn't even say merhaba then. Reading books and using this site to improve. A local guy here does lessons.

I live in Toparlar which is just round the corner from Koycegiz
