"To take for granted" means Olmuş farzet, my dictionary says..
About the use:
* s/he takes me for granted: you can use it when you feel that someone is taking benefit, advantage of you without showing that s/he is being grateful or thankful.
* you can take for granted that something is true, you believe that it is true without thinking about it very much or without looking for proof that it is really true

Take for granted:
a. to accept (a fact , an action, etc.) without questioning if it is true or will happen: " I just took it for granted that you knew"
b. to treat (a person) without consideration or kindness: " He never thanks you for your help; he just takes you for granted"
I hope this will help you.
