I think it is the past tense of "if he/she it didn't become", but can't figure it out in this song.

any help?

the context sentence is: "Daglarinda kar olsaydim"
and
"
Gelin sana yar olsaydim"

thanks,

still working on this song- but almost finished

Olsaydım, means i wished i was ...its wishing in the past

Ol...from olmak .. sa is suffix'sa,se ' to wish, and note it come after the verb stem.so if its in this place, its for wishing
Y is a buffer,
di is the past suffix
m ... is the personal pronoun with 'sa,se'

Gelin sana yar olsaydim

Like i wish you were my bride,

Gelin olmak (for a girl) to get married.

Yar, means lover, its addressing ,like aşkım

THANK YOU- I could never have figured that out either. But, a little each day. I reinforce something bu looking up words and tenses, but somethings seem impossible!

Thanks Canli
