This world is crazy everywhere. Here are the headlines in my country, so sad...
Police said the man who opened fire at an Amish school in Pennsylvania Monday had let the boys and the adult women leave while holding the girls hostage -- and then shot all 10 of them as police arrived.
Police said they found the bodies of four girls at the scene, along with the body of the gunman, who had turned the gun on himself. They said several other victims were taken to hospitals -- some with very serious injuries. All had gunshot wounds.
The shooter, identified as Charles Carl Roberts IV, 32, sent the male students and some adult females out of the West Nickel Mines Amish School, state police Commissioner Jeffrey B. Miller said. He then barricaded himself inside. Miller said Roberts had forced many of the children to line up against the blackboard and that he bound their feet with wire ties and flex cuffs.
"He bound the female students up by the blackboard and apparently executed them".

Yes, I have been to Amish country and these people live a very simple life. They don't wear everyday street cloths or have cars, no material things. They pretty much stick to themselves and never bother anyone. They interviewed some of the relatives and they seem to be so forgiving. It's the non Amish that is in an outrage. It just goes to show you, how strong their religion and faith is. I wouldn't have been so forgiving if it was my relative or child.

i don't think he was targeting the amish. i think it was just that he was in the area.
i think the girls were only very young...6 years old?

The girls ranged from 6 to 13 years. Everyone was shocked, since he was pretty much an average joe. Not someone you would suspect.

I only live 20 minutes away from where this tradgedy took place. As a matter of fact one of my friends was one of the Emergency response people on site.
Very shocking and sad. No sense at all.

the shooter lived in the area. The school was a good target because it was small and he could get in without any problems. From what we are learning is that he molested 2 young girls when he was about 13 and he mentioned to his wife that he was starting to have feelings again that he could not tell her about. I am guessing that he wanted to molest again. He had planned this for awhile. At least 2 weeks in advance.

Today they had a procession of horse and buggies for the girls that were killed in that horrible shooting. People were lined up along the roadside to show their sympathy and support. Very, Very sad.

yes..this was across englands headlines today as well..so sad that lives are lost for no reason..it is very similar to a shooting that took place in dunblane, scotland in the 1990's..in the fact that it was a lot of younger pupils that died..i'm still confused as to how the amish forgave the man..he was obviously mentally deranged..yes apparently he molested 2 girls 20 years ago..but the girls he said he molested say that he didnt...they have been questioned..according to the news here in england anyway..what i want to know is if things like this happen in turkey at all??:-S because children are so important to them..i'm not talking about terroists attacks which are also bad but lone or partnered shooters like the us and england(and i'm sure many other countries) have experienced..can someone please tell me if this type of thing happens in turkey??or if anything similar has ever been reported??:-S
