It is not really literature - meaning high profile written - but for everyone who likes Istanbul and who likes detective stories I recommend the books of Barbara Nadel. Her books always give me the feeling to be in Istanbul again, walking in her foot steps, to places I have been as well. Some titles: Petrified, Belshazzars daughter, A chemical prison, Harem, Deep waters and Deadly web.
