A year after satirical cartoons of the Prophet Mohammed were published in the Jyllands Posten, a Danish daily, members of the Danish People’ Party, DF, recently drew humiliating pictures of the prophet.
A ridiculing drawing of Prophet Mohammad was voted best in a drawing contest during a summer camp of the DF’s youth organization in the island of Fyn on Aug. 5.
Heavily drunk, the young politicians drew the Prophet Mohammed as a terrorist bombing Copenhagen.
The drawing received public attention two months later.
A group, called “Denmark Defense,†with their 18-month-old membership to the DF youth organization, filmed the sardonic drawings.
The abhorrent event received sharp criticism from all parties at the Danish parliament.
Officials of the youth organization of the Liberal Party resolved not to cooperate with the youth organization of the DF and decided to restrict their ties.
The DF officials are refusing to issue statements about the event.
