Welcome to the site!
Don't worry, at the beginning turkish seems so hard but then you will realize how logical it is! as someone told me "It's like putting lego pieces together"
Your question is about the compliment "To Be"
In turkish they form this verb by using PERSONAL ENDINGS,
in this case:

I am = im/ ım / um / üm / (after vowels "yım/ yim / yum / yüm 'y' prevents 2 vowels from being together)

you are = sin / sın / sun /sün

he/ she ıs = dır / dir / dur / dür (ıt ıs optıonal )

we are = ız / iz / uz / üz (yız / yiz / yuz / yüz after vowels)

you are (plural , sıngular polıte) = sınız / siniz / sunuz / sünuz

They are = lar / ler

Examples:

'I am happy ' mutluYUM (because ıt ends ın vowel wıch ıs 'u' you have to take the suffıx whıch begıns ın 'u' addıng the 'y' to separate vowels)

' you are busy' = meşgulSUN

'he ıs sıck ' hasta OR hastaDIR both are correct

'we are beautıful ' = guzelİZ

'They are turks' = türkLER

My advıce =
Start by learnıng VOWEL HARMONY
then : The complıment to be
then = Consonant mutatıon

İyi şanslar dilerim! (I wısh you good luck)
