In the chapter 'to be' there was the sentence "(S)he is beautiful" translated as follows:
"Güzeldir." "Güzel" - beautiful, "-dir" ending of he, she, it

But in the topic "Negatives" there is the same sentence written thus:

O (çok) güzel. (And the negative equivalent with the word "değil".)

Please tell me what the matter is.

P.S
How can I say "She is VERY beautiful" with the first variant, where "güzeldir" means "she is beautiful"?

Thanks for help

Değil = not
güzel-(dir) -- she is beautiful
güzel değil-(dir) -- she is not beautiful

-dir suffix is used in an informative context. If you're not saying it as an information you can omit it. I mean in the case you think the person you tell it to is also aware of that fact.
