askim,
I cried tonight when you said there was no hope of you wanting to come and live in America. I have so much security here. I have worked my whole life to attain such a prestigioous position. I truly love my work! I have a magnificent job, with a full pension and benefits. Please Omer, reconsider this proposal. My life is so very good. I can't bear to lose everything to move to Turkiye. Maybe you could come to like life here.
Please think about it......

Christine,
This has to be a scary decision for you. I am going through a dilemma myself. However, my Turkish boyfriend is very accustom to America. It's the decision of either here or Turkey. It makes me nervous either way to think about. I wish you luck with your decision. Maybe if you could spend a few months over in Turkey and then bring him over to America for a few. That way you both will have a better understanding.

Dear Teaship,
Thank you for your kind reply. He is so much in love with Turkiye. He cannot understand why I just don't pick up and move. As a teacherf I must say, my job is so amazing. Soon 6 figures, and unbelievable benefits.
And, should I mention, amazing dedicated, smart students!
But, he loves Turkiye. I do too. He loves the famiy connection, and family values. He wants me to move there.
I would give up so much!
But, I would gain such a beautiful loving way of life. He is the most caring and positive person in the world.
Yet...
Teachsip, I know we have disagreed on "American politics". But , America truly is a pardise in terms of free expression and basic daily life. I am so lucky, and take for granted our amazing health care system, and infrastructure.
I am sad to think that Omer and I might part over this.............
