İ'm not quite familiar with it yet Elisa,i didn't study it yet,but (mış,dı ) i understood it a bit from our friends here at TC,so i used it
Maybe when they explain the (en) i would be able to use it...

Ohhh sorry Elisa,i thought you are talking about (en) suffix, not (dI ),
Well,i didn't use (dI ) alone to differentiate between the past and the past participle,although i know that yaptın can also give the same meaning.
Can you put it in the form of (en) suffix ?
Or we cann't use it in this one ?

Hmm.. since this one was just a simple question, no doubt, no hearsay, no uncertainty, I'd use the simple past tense..
I'd say "Bugün ne yaptın?"

But isn't doubt,hearsay,and uncertainty,are the usage of (mIş )
And (mIş + dI ) is indicate a participle tense ?

"Bugün ne yaptın?" is better. If I say "Bugün ne yapmıştın?", I would mean "Now tell me what have you done today? I have no idea of it." (puts some uncertainity in it). Yes it can be used at times this way.
